Bios

• Tiffany

  Tiffany began her Goddard experience while in college working part-time at the school. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from James Madison University, she taught in Chesterfield County for fourteen years. Her relationship with Goddard continued, when her own two daughters attended and received an excellent foundation. “Life has come full circle now as I own the same Goddard where it all began. My mission is to nurture the social, emotional, developmental and academic needs of each child during these early formative years. Through all of my teacher, parent and owner lenses, I want to create the highest quality environment for the children, families and staff.”

  "I have been with the Goddard School at Robious Station for 4 years but have over 16 years of experience in the childcare field. Being a part of a school that promotes not just learning, but also the social and emotional development of children is so rewarding. When I'm not at Goddard, I'm probably with my own kiddo. I am the mom to a 13-year-old boy who is very active in travel ball so we are always on the go! We both share a love for baseball and traveling and have a goal of seeing all of the MLB ballparks together before he goes to college!"

  "I have been working with children for the past ten years. I attended Indiana University - South Bend, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English. Before becoming a director, I taught 3rd, 5th, and 2nd grades. I am passionate about working with children and integrating STEAM in the classroom. I moved to Virginia in 2019. My husband and I live in Midlothian with our three dogs and eighteen year old cat!"

  "I graduated from James River High School in 2005. I always liked having jobs babysitting the children in my neighborhood, which is why I came to work here at The Goddard School. I have a son, Paxton, who attended The Goddard School and loved it!

  "I have been in childcare for 25 years. My favorite thing about teaching is being able to be creative and have fun every day! Being able to be a part of helping a child grow has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life."

• Danielle

  "I have been in childcare for 12 years. I love being able to assist in a child’s growth and development. It's such a joy! I’m a single mother of 2 teenagers, a son and daughter, who are very active in sports and dance. I have a degree and background experience in occupational therapy. I enjoy applying those skills in the child care setting. My goal is to create an environment for infants to thrive in mentally, intellectually, emotionally, and developmentally."

  "I started at Goddard - Robious Station in 1998. Children have always played an important part in my life. I love watching when a child's face lights up when they know it is story time or music time and they are excited to participate. I love seeing the light bulbs in their minds shine as they learn something new. I feel what I do is a way of giving back to the community that I live in."

• Kasey

  "I attended Lynchburg College for nursing. I have now been working with children for about 15 years. My favorite thing about working with children is when a child learns or grasp a new concept or skill. I have been married for 11 years and I have 4 of my own children - two girls and two boys. I used to show and train horses and I still ride at my family's farm when I have time."

  "I have been in childcare for 8 years. I love being able to watch the kids grow in a short amount of time. I enjoy how innocent and pure their hearts are at such a young age."

  "I have been teaching for over 29 years. I enjoy watching children learn and grow during the time that they are in my care. It's so rewarding and wonderful to see. I am a mom to two beautiful daughters and two amazing grandsons, who I enjoy spending my free time with."

  "I love watching kids grow and learn. I'm currently in school to get my Bachelor's degree in early childhood development. I also have a one year old son names James."

  "As i have cared for children, I really love love the strong bonds that are built with each one and the impact I have on their lives. I only started working in child care after my retirement, but I certainly know now what i missed all those years."

  "I grew up in a home child care environment and started helping out and caring for the little ones at a young age. So, I've been working with children now for 6 years and I love it! I love their enthusiasm and energy to try new things and I find a child's good hearty laughter completely infectious."

  "I mainly work with the 24 to 36 months age. They grow and change so much within this period. I love supporting their growth and development. The bonds you can build with the children are so rewarding. I truly love going to work everyday. I am currently working towards earning my bachelors degree in Early Elementary Education at VCU."

  "I love being able to make a difference in the children's lives and being able to make them smile! Music is a very big part of my life, so I love singing and dancing with the kids."

  "Teaching just feels natural. I have been around kids or caring for them my whole life. I helped care for my cousins and younger brother. I also assisted my aunt at her daycare facility. I feel like I was meant to be a role model to children."

  "My favorite thing about teaching is the "small" wins that happen everyday in the classroom. I have been working with children professionally for about 4 years, and I've been a part of the Goddard team since February. I currently attend Virginia Commonwealth University for pre-dentistry, and I have dreams of opening my own dental office one day. Somehow, in my world of science and psychology, I fell in love with teaching toddlers. At two years old, everything is new, everything is amazing, and most importantly, everything is a learning opportunity! One of my favorite things to do is travel and explore the world through Scuba Diving."
